Beauty is socially constructed. To argue that it’s “human nature” shows a lack of knowledge about culture. While the biological imperative to reproduce exists, who one chooses as a partner has more to do with culture than biology.
Standards of beauty are created by cultures. The message of this video is that we hold girls and women in our culture to impossible standards of beauty. We destroy what little self-esteem girls have, then sell it back to them piece by piece.
